    The "tech-ies", the people not following the "popular" interests, who love comics, anime, action figures, video games, etc.

    I fully embrace my "geekdom" or "nerdhood", lol ;)

    Nerd is someone that doesn't fit in, they are socially awkward which stops them from interacting. They tend to not have very many skills other then reflecting inward.

    Geek: Is a class of people that are very creative individuals that tend to put their passions above social status outside the group. They tend to be drawn to computers, gaming, comics, and music, places that allow their creativity to flourish.

    I think they're the same thing .... someone who is intellectual and maybe a bit shy and awkward in social situations.
