My favourite semi-precious gem is one from my personal collection, which i have never managed to classify. It is smooth with a shiny/reflective glassy surface.

It has a very strange temperature behaviour - it will remain cold to the touch, regardless of room temperature. However if you hold it tightly in your fist for about 10 minutes, it begins to heat up, and eventually feels warmer than your hand.

It's colouration too, is strange. It has two colours, a sort of deep green and an orangey red (similar to the colour of jasper, but a little darker).

It's beautiful and holds much sentimental value for me. Can anyone please PM me if they know what this is?
