Im not religious but see the purest wisdom in advice given in the bible, such as treat others as you would wish to be treated, and love thy neighbour. If adhered to,the problems in todays world would vanish.

    Philippians 4:6-7

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I like the story of the poor guy who collects wood on a Saturday and is ordered to be stoned by God. Yeah.

"Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the sabbath day. 33And those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation; 34and they put him in custody because it had not been declared what should be done to him. 35Then the Lord said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp."

Ecclesiastes 3- that is about a time for everything.

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

    and so on.

I forgot what verse it is but it's the one about Jesus in Jerusalem where he slept with those gypsy twins, thereby curing them of the clap.

Yes, that was uncalled for. It seemed more hilarious to me yesterday. Be that as it may, I will never answer to your "God" because "He" is an ancient myth, and not even an original one.

It's a toss up between Romans 8:16-17 "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

A sublime truth about the potential of mankind often overlooked in mainstream Christianity.

...and James 1:27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

A teaching often forgotten in the modern religions of the world.

I think it's somewhere in Kings II, but some children make fun of Elijah by calling him "baldhead" and so God sends 42 She-bears to rend the children limb from limb. I'm not being sarcastic in my response, because it is only through the power of the Lord that the surviving witnesses were now so God-fearing that the recorded the rather large number and gender of all the bears so that they might never forget.

    Matthew 6:5-6.

Too bad the christards are too hypocritical to pay attention to it. It's the mythical feces christ who speaks in 6:5-6, yet christards make every attempt to do the exact opposite.

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon” (Matthew 6:19-24).193

Now I will spare you my personal interpretation of these verses. :-D

It's the whole chapter of 1 Cor 13. I was going to pick something like, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" or something about killing babies, but I decided to give it a rest and go with this. ! Cor 13 : 13
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
