What is your Favourite Soup?

I like all homemade soups using fresh ingredients. But like all good soups, it is better to sip or drink it the next day when the flavours blend together in a marriage of spices, meat and cream/stock.

The Dowager makes good Coconut Spicy Peanut Soup. My favourite! ;0)

1 chopped Oinion
4 cloves of small garlic
5cm root ginger chopped
1 tblsp peanut oil
1 tsp each of ground coriander, turmeric and curry paste
250gms diced potatoes
3 cups of chook stock (chicken lol)
1 cup of coconut milk
1/4 chinese cabbage -shredded
1/4 cup of crunchy peanut butter
2 tblsp soya sauce
juice of lemon and a teaspoon of sugar.

I love: roasted red pepper and smoked gouda, corned beef and sour kraut, corn chowder, any soup with coconut milk, french onion, and MANY more. My husband was a chef for years, and taught me all the basics to making good soups, I never knew how easy it was to make tasty homemade soups. I love soup. Rated: +1Vote for this!

alicia87	Posted Jul 1st, 2009 at 11:36AM Does chili count as a soup?? My boyfriend makes fun of me because I get chili everywhere we go (Sweet Tomatoes, Wendy's, Chili's, Jason's Deli, Evos, etc...). I also love to make chili with either tofu crumbles or lean ground beef. If chili doesn't count, French onion is next! :) Rated: +1Vote for this!
