What is your opinion of a woman supporting a man ?

Okay...I just got out of a relationship, where I was supporting him, for 8 years....

I wouldn't have had a problem, if he would have done things around the house, cook, clean, garden...etc...but, this one thought I should do it all....while he sat at McDonald's, reading the paper, and growing roots in front of the television set.....

I like it........just kidding.
Hell it is harder to be a housewife, I'd rather go work

Heh heh! I would love to have a house husband one day! I hate all the domestic stuff required to keep a household running, and I don't even have kids, but it's still alot of work!

Depends on the situatioon. I mean, if somone has to take care of the kids and the wife maskes more money, it only makes sense. Too many scary things happen in daycares and if I had kids, there is no way they would be in one.

Totally cool, if the couple enjoys it. I know a couple like that.

Women have been supporting men forever...just mostly in the "traditonal" roles. If it works for the couple, it's a great thing.....

Countries like sweden have been decades ahead of the US...I remember when people would talk about that like swedes had gone off the deep end...sooo weird....we just need to chill and understand that the US is still one of the most puitanical, provincial, close-minded societys in the world right there with the Taliban sometimes....

If you haven't seen it Pleasantville is a lovely movie...not strictly about traditional roles but not far off...real artwork.

If that's what they both agree on, I don't see an issue with it. As long as he's not a useless bum just leeching off the woman, everything should work out.

I don't like the idea of any one staying home and not beiing out in the world growing and learning things. No one should loose their individuality like that.
