I remember this story of a caterpillar when thinking about adversity. Basically a man saw a crysalis in his garden and watched it struggle and decided to end its struggle by helping it along. He cut the crysalis open gently with some scissors and instead of a beautiful butterfly a deformed caterpillar emerged. Moral of story: sometimes we need to go through a little adversity in order to realise our full potential.

Through adversity comes strength (not sure who said that but it is a quote/paraphrase/cliche)

There is truth in that. He/she who has not suffered has not lived a full life and has not ever grown as a person or realized his/her true potential.

Embrace adversity. Fight through that **** andd become a better person.

The Chinese use 2 symbolsforthe word 'crisis'...danger and opportunity; so a crisis is a dangerous opportunity. I don't know if your adversity has reached the crisis stage or not, but adversity always gives us a chance to retink things, and possibly change our habits to more fruitful ones.
