Interesting book because of the effect it has had and continues to have on our society and culture, it's a greatly misunderstood book, but it really shouldn't be taken as seriously as some people take it. Although other people don't take it seriously enough - the bible is not a load of irrelevant nonsense, neither is it a moral guide.
I have to agree. The bible is greatly misunderstood people shouldn't have the right to criticize it if they haven't even read it.
and nor should they have the right to use it as an excuse to tell other people what to do if they haven't read it
Yes, it is irrelevant nonsense.
how can it be irrelevant when people today are still using it to allow them to oppress or murder others? People read this book and quote it everyday. This book is of great significance and relevance. It means a lot to some people, which makes it relevant as it is the governor of how a sizeable proportion of mankind sees the world! You don't have to believe what it says or have read it to recognise that.
It's the truth that society is scared to face.
it is only quite bad fiction. anyone who believes it is the truth is quite naive.
I lost interest after the 40th begat.
why is it printed on rice paper? Needs an edit imho.
It is extremely silly and harmful ancient fiction that pretends to be true in a scam.
hard to follow the plot...
A good story book
As an experience of actually READING it and know at least 99% of the stories, I think they're pretty good stories but I barely believe in them anymore.
Beautiful in certain way..confusing sometimes
best seller in the fiction charts for more years than all other books put together, in this part of the world anyway
these days yeah, but back in days of yore it was the one and only book on santas list
Unless you were a Roman in those days
Constantine the Roman emperor was head salesman at Bible book Inc.
Rome was a little before America
