If you don't discipline them they will not develop self discipline and they will have a harder time as they grow up and go out into the world.

If parents don't do it with love and concern - then the world will do it - harshly. I have never understood why parent don't love their children enough to teach them right from wrong and give them the best start possible.

Necessary, but must be kept in check. There's a fine line between discipline and abuse. Children who are not disciplined have a hard time with rules, punishment, and such in the real world.

Absolutely necessary, especially with kids these days. My parents' version of a time-out when it came to discipline, was when they'd take time out of their day to blister the butt of myself and my siblings, and we turned out just fine. We definitely need more of it.

That A Parent Shouldn't Lay A Hand On A Child Because Theirs Different Ways To Punish A Child And Get The Point Across. I've Seen What Hitting A Kid For The Little Things They Do Does To The Kid When They Reach Their Teen Years.
