Without an education above 12th grade, the service industry, or maybe low pay clerical work. Maybe, depending upon where you live, physical labor work like in a factory, yard maintenance or farm-type work, etc., is usually about it for the average Joe or Jane.

It's tough to be honest, I had the same experience, your best bet might be to go to some evening classes, or college and study an interest of yours which would lead to a good job
Cashier, janitorial services, secretarial services, cook at a slow food restaurant, waitress, interpreter, radio DJ, department store manager... the list goes on. Working with the public in the fast food industry can enhance a lot of different skill sets! :D
