It really is the balance of the two. If I eat to much for the amount of energy I use, then the pound fairy comes and homesteads on my body. The trick is to find the portion/calorie-count that fits your activity. <br />
I also believe you have to change to the kinds of foods that best serve your body. I have found a low calorie salt snack and a low calorie sweet snack. I don't drink sodas, eat yogurt with fruit instead of ice cream, use greek yogurt instead of sour cream. i really haven't given up-I've just replaced.
