Past experiences, hurts and disappointments. But I suppose every day there's a certain amount of trust we give people -- at stores we go into, at the bank, when we drop our kids off at school, ...........

Dishonesty, noticing lack of conviction in them, any 'bad' company they keep which reflects poorly upon them

When their actions show them to be anything but trustworthy.
When they don't keep their word.

Lies, betrayal, lack of help when I needed it the most. All I needed was to know someone was there but they couldn't be reached!
