It would depend on which English man you mean...I think most happy English men (and women) today would be the ones who are grateful that their homes are warm and dry, not flooded like some are.
True, it's getting very bad.
It terrible in some places. In the night there was a high tide and the houses two roads away from me were flooded...Im thankful for a warm dry home, especially when you see on the news some are chest deep in water...
Oh, my. I pray it won't get any closer to you.
Thanks, we're lucky that the tidal river only rose that high because of the high tide at 11pm last night. It's subsiding now and the danger is over. Feel so sorry for the worst hit people though in other parts of the country...
Oh, that's good.
True, I heard they are not going to get much help from the government.
It is good, for us...But not the ones who have all the damage and loss of earnings.
There should be more done to raise money for those who have suffered loss and devastation to property.
I feel for them. I don't know what they are going to do with the pittance the government thinks will cover their losses.
There really should. I am so grateful for all the volunteers, and donations, and help that was available to us after Hurricane Sandy. That is as it should be, people should help each other.
Enough of it would make anyone happy :)
Gin, gardening, watching Gunga Din? My old man's father was British and apparently these traits were passed down to him along with a great deal of sarcasm and a bad temper. Coulda just been him though!
WOW I know the sarcasm and thwarting comments my mother could have been the ring leader for that one....
Tea and to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
With the tea.
Complaining about the weather, the government, the food, and the footie. :P
Yep, heehee. ;)
Wow, are English men considered THAT bad?! :)
Lol, I'm teasing him. :)
Is Nimbus English? :)

Yep, a true Brit, whose favorite things are Manchester United, Black Pudding, and a good beer. :)
Lol, I'll bet it depends on the Englishman.

Soccer, beer, music & fish & chips.
And heat in the winter, sunshine in the summer, and a trip to the sea
Food with blood in it. :-0
Cornish Hens, Shepherds pie, custard.
Are the hens still alive? :/ I dont suppose they'd like Shepherds pie with custard... ;)
Naughty French Women with dry unflooded flats?!?!?!?<br />
Or a nice toad in the hole with tea?!?!?!?
A cold pint
Beer, foodball, fish & chip and a blond woman.
In a survey it was found that the most popular English takeaway is not fish and chips, but curry... :)
Oh they like to try curry and sweet & sour meals but their traditional food, especially fish and chip and Sunday roast will bring more happiness :)
Oh they definitely get happy about the sunday roast :)
An English Woman
A cup of tea and/or a good portion of fish and chips! :)
Haha, how stereotypical!!! :)
