"Special" can imply better, or greater. In this sense nothing makes me special.
I am equal to others around me in every way that matters, ie,
that we are all sentient, capable of suffering, and have roughly similar basic needs.
On the other hand, "special" can also mean unique, particular or specific.
In this sense everyone is special, including me, because each of us is slightly different in our emotional conditioning, talents, challenges, thoughts, habits, values, goals, tastes.
This answer is itself a sample of one way in which my mind works... a slight flavour or taste of me.Like (2)
