It was a very old black and white movie called "The Spiral Staircase".I'm not sure but I think it was a Hitchcock movie. I didn't like "Psycho" much either. By the time everything else came out, I was old enough to understand special effects, though the first "Alien" still makes me jump when the alien pops out of John Hurt's stomach.

Somehow I think this gives away our ages...lol....oh well, 50 is the new 40...so wth.....my all time scary movie was Alfred Hitchcocks "The Birds"......I believe the reason is scared me so much, and even to this day I am afraid of birds.. Is that when we see some horror movies we usually see a lot of sci fi type things, but when we saw the birds way back when, they used something that we see everyday, birds.....they used a form of fear that lets us see a common everyday animal that flys around our own backyards to invoke fear of the "what if"....we have all seen flocks of birds, so it made it so possible in our little minds......shame on them for not rating it so people would know not to take kids to it.....
