I think the only TV show that ever portrayed high school well was "Freaks and Geeks"
It only lasted one season but it featured young James Franco, Seth Rogen and Jason Segal and some awesome writing.Like (1)

I'd have to say the first season of American Horror Story. The character "Tate" was more or less like the people I associated with back in 1994. I was into the grunge style, wore black trench coats and such due to being a member of the drama club and stage crew. This was before Columbine, though. I remember being picked on quite a lot.
