well you know... the system we have isnt actually designed to rehabilitate people to begin with. if it were itd be more education focused than it is cheap workforce... the school to prison pipeline is a thriving industry. i actually did a little research on this once and there were a few womens prisons that had basically turned there facilities into a lockdown school and everybody who was able took classes. recidivism rate was a third of the national average and dropping when they shut it down because it was too costly... at the risk of your possible victimization the state has bet your life due to funding constraints...
