People who are suicidal just "Do it" they don`t "Attempt it"...people who want the attention of "Attempting suicide",are the people who just want the attention.

Thanks... I have a few friends who have "attempted suicide" they are still around... I also HAD friends who never said a word about it... and they are the ones who are gone.

I would guess most of them think abt it from time to time just as i'm sure most ppl do...but proly only 1% will actually do it

All suicidal people are attention seeking, but that doesn't mean that they won't actually do it if they crave the attention bad enough.

they aren't "all" attention seeking. Some of them never tell a soul, and then bam. the next day they're gone :/

Alright, then how do you explain their actions other then a cry for help and extreme loneliness? These people, whether they are willing to admit it or not, really just want a connection with the people around them.

Well I certainly don't believe the notion that suicidal people don't talk about it , so i actually think a majority at least have suicidal thoughts .

This is an impossible question to answer, as I do not know how many members there are on E.P., and of that number I don't know how many are suicidal. HOWEVER, as someone who has struggled with suicidal feelings (and I'm not raising any red flags here, so don't worry), I don't think much about people who come on here and bemoan their situation. I don't doubt that there are many people struggling. It would do a lot of them good to have them pull up their bootstraps, shut up, and soldier on. If you have enough time and resources to log onto E.P. and write about how miserable you are, you're more than capable of finding something fun to do and fixing some of this issues that plague you. I'm think support networks are great, if you seek them out. But I also think this is a situation where you really have to rely on your own to keep going. Thanks for letting me borrow the soap box, by the way.
