I'd really like to go to Vietnam. I have some other Australian friends who have travelled there and it looks really interesting. There is a lot of really old culture and new culture, it's not just a place where there was a war in the 60's. It's not really far from Australia (where I live). What's the problem, you might ask? Well there is a lot of fish in their cuisine and I'm allergic to fish! With the language barrier I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to explain properly that I can't eat anything that contains fish, seafood or fish sauce. I can't eat anything that has been prepared on the same surface, or with the same cooking implements or I will suffer a severe, possibly fatal reaction. I don't even eat at Asian restaurants in Australia (apart from one Chinese restaurant I have been going to for over 30 years- they know me well!) because I have been served food I can't eat even after explaining and have had to send it back.

I want to see the ocean. I've never seen it. I live about 8 hours drive north of the Gulf of Mississippi, which I've never seen either, but I've been told it's muddy looking and not like the beaches of California or Florida. I want to see a real ocean, blue water, white sand...my first time going. I just haven't been able to ever get there for financial reasons. I'm a pisces and I just feel like I'm being drawn to it. I can almost smell the salt in the air and hear it sometimes. LOL I'll get there one day, hopefully soon!

Can't decide probably a three-way toss up between Petra, Machu Picchu, and the Temples of Angkor :)
