I wouldn't worry about them talking about me behind my back. What they need courage to do is to criticise me in my presence. In my opinion, you shouldn't worry if people catcall you and can't afford to show you their face.

Don't let anyone get you down. Always stand proud. Sometimes, people think shyness is equivalent to being stuck up. Tune them out of your mind and thoughts, and concentrate on yourself and your goals in life. I know it hurts, but you can't talk reason to ignorance. Let it go and just move on. It's not worth holding onto and simmering in pain. People like that aren't worth your time or efforts.
