Something very personal to your spouse would work I think. What about making up a small gift basket of her favourite things?

Roses. Pretty red or pink or yellow. And a card that tells her you love her and how special she is to you.
Or something like that... something romantic and pretty that tells her you care. And makes her feel loved.

i'd say negligee (classy not trashy) would work if you had a whole romantic day planned out with that as the lil cherry on top at the end for dessert. i've always been fond of things sentimental or natural like maybe a special restaurant or watching a sunset. bouquets & chocolates are cliche but its vday so it as cheesy as it sounds its effective. if you go the candy flower route go to a local florists who knows about the meanings of flowers & design a custom bouquet on what characteristics your relationship is like. always get good chocolate (anything 60%cacao or up is great). pair the chocolate up with a glass of fine port wine.
