they mean nothing to me so i don't waste precious energy acknowledging their existence. that is not to say i go out of my way to be rude, crass or mean if they happen to speak to me. i was raised to acknowledge folks if they initiate so the very least i will do is slight eye contact & a head nod while keepin it movin. i don't make conversation because i am apathetic or indifferent to what they have to say anyway. it also is effective because if you are supposedly enemies, it baffles them why you acknowledged them like that. makes them think you are over them so they have respect.
