depends on how many people you are serving. a sure fire way to cook a turkey and have it turn out moist is to cook it in buttered brown paper sacks. you use about 3 of the sacks and butter the tops and sides of the sacks on the inside. prep your turkey as usual, then put it into the sacks then put that in your roaster pan. no need for basting it and when it's done, it's so tender and moist that it falls apart. and it stays moist, never dries out.

RocknRose	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM we have family over so we do a 35lb turkey usually and we also cook a ham...we cook it normal...oven roasted with herbs, butter, and white wine... the ham is done with pineapple, brown sugar and cloves. Rated: +1Vote for this!

singer1960	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM 3/4 of a pound per person....and the best way I have ever had it....Is deep fried.....Takes only 4 min. per pound....But you can not stuff it...But then who really cares....Do the dressing in the oven...But if must be fried outside...and it takes a great deal of oil...anf be careful....It can catch on fire real easy.
