What songs make you cry?

What songs make you cry whe you listen to them? Is it because the lyrics are sad, there's a sad story behind the song, it reminds you of something, or just because the music is sad? For example, I cry everytime I hear the song "There Will Come A Day" because they played that song at a memorial service whe a classmate's baby died of SIDS.

My Grandmother had (You are my Sunshine) on a 78 rpm record. That song always reminds me of her.

Seventeen by Janis Ian (When I was younger)
Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton (first song we danced to)
Sister Golden Hair by America
Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce
Beth by Kiss
Come Away Melinda by Uriah Heep
While my Guitar Gently Weeps, by George Harrison

I could name a couple hundred more. Some might make me cry, or just bring tears to my eyes, some are just thoughtful or emotional. I'm very sentimental, or is it just mental?

unicorn59	Posted May 29th, 2009 at 10:14AM Different songs, and for different reasons... I cry when I hear the song "Pearly White City", because they played that at my brother's funeral.... I cry when I hear "In The Living Years" because I think of my father, and he's getting older, and I know he's not going to be around too much longer.... I cry to many christian songs, because I feel God's love, and I am touched by that.... I cry to "Butterfly Kisses" because I have 2 daughters, and it reminds me of when they were little.... There are a few love songs I cry to, because they were "our song"...and the relationship isn't the way it was, then.... Those are a few of them....but, most of the time, it's because it has meaning, to me, personally. Rated: +1Vote for this!

geenpunchbuggie	Posted May 29th, 2009 at 10:37AM pretty much anything by the beach boys... especially "wouldn't it be nice" and "god only knows". they make me think of my friend matt who ended his tortured life 5 years ago. :( also "show me the way to go home"... because that's pretty much around when captain quint gets eaten by the shark.
