I go to bed when I'm tired. Simple I know but alot of people force themselves to go to bed because they think they should. If I'm tired at 7pm in the evening I'll go to bed then. If i'm not tired till 3 - 4 in the morning, I'll stay awake. What I'm saying is I listen to my body and what its telling me to do. I read before I switch out the light to take my mind off any day to day worrys and I can honestly tell you I sleep like a baby! <br />

For any big worries and I really really can't sleep (which is rare) the boring DVD is a really good solution.

If I cant fall asleep I make sure the room is suitable for sleeping. The bed is amde and comfortable, the pillows are plumped up, the windows are shut/open as I wish, noise is at a minimum, the temperature is right (cool for me), nobody in the house will disturb me, I am wearing loose clothes (tight clothes wont let you sleep), I have not eaten any rich or heavy food, I didnt drink tea or alcohol (stimulants), ALL IN ALL I AM COMFORTABLE<br />

If all that is OK if I am tired I will fall asleep <br />

Sometimes my mind is working away and wont let go of something and I cant sleep <br />

When that happens I check to make sure nothing is distrubing me - see list above. Then I set my mind to thinking about what I will spend the millions on when I win the lottery. Well a private tropical island is an absolute must isnt it. a private jet to get there. And .......<br />

I rarely spend more than a couple of million before I am asleep!

Let go of your subconsciousness - ur daily routines might be contributing towards things that u aren't even aware ur holding within ur brain. try meditating during the day, break ur mind into pieces and let go, step by step, sleep shall embrace u shortly after task 1 :)

I have an excellent way of falling asleep. Get one of those little DVD pla<x>yers and prop it on the side of your bed and put a movie on, and before u know it you're asleep. Been watching the same movie now for 6 weeks! lol
