I am going on day 3 without sleep, I just took something so hopefully no one will be in Labor before my call ends in two and a half hours. I need sleep, but I have to wait until 06:00.

I made it, no patients in labor, I never take chances if I call the 9 hospitals, and there are any of my patients, or my colleagues patients checked in to labor and delivery. We also have someone at the hospital for emergencies that will deliver before attending arrives. We are good about helping one another. I just took call for 10 days, my partners all wanted the holidays off. It all works out in the wash. I am tired after 10 days, and 36 deliveries.
