First, piddle myself. Second, seek shelter. Even hiding in a garbage can wouldn't be too bad depending on the craziness I'm looking at. Hard to say without being there. Too many variables.

Depends on the animal - I did work with animals for a year or two (part of my be macho and it will cure me of wanting to be a gilr phase - it failed) so i am quite used to them.

Assuming the animals were well cared for they will be well fed so not hungry. They are likely to be scared becasue they are out of their familiar environment. With most nimals they automatically respond to running creature (including us)

Carnivors will see you as food and chase you if they are hungry or not

The rest will think there is an threat and will run with you (and or scatter)

So I would not run - I would look to see what was coming and treat them individually, while looking for a means of escape (and I hope anyone I could rescue becasue of my training and experience)

I would push families into rooms and cages that wre emty and get them to close the door and watch out for others needing shelter. I would be using a mobile to call for assistance. I would be asking polcie to close the zoo to try to be sure that animals d0 not escape and no more people come in. I would be asking polcie to round up all local vets and their dart guns as well as farmers with guns etc to control the animals

Never gte cornered. With most animals you can see if they are getting up tight, if they do back off. With most animals do not look them in the eye or face them directly, that is and can be seen as a challenge. Look to the side. Talk soothingly and back away. ALWAYS make sure you have somewhere to back away from them (that is why you never get cornered you cant back away). Have a big stick if an animal gets too close tap it on the nose - they may bite it but it wont hurt you.

Start organising things, make your way to the entrance and round up staff on your way. When polcie arrive they will want plans of the zoo, what animals are where, what to look for first etc etc

I think I would do quite well i those circumstances -

NOW hands up all those who are suprised that a man who likes to wear dresses and heels would come up with an answer like that !!!!!

Well, if I was stood directly in the path of a stampeding herd of elephants...I think I'd run!
