Pretty tough. I grew up in a rough neighbourhood, and I was gay (and from the ageof 14, all the rest of the school knew). I learned to defend myself pretty well though, and no-one ever tried to bully me twice. I wasn't a model student either. The only subjects I was any good at were sports and art.

School was difficult as I attended 11 different schools in 13 years, counting kindergarten. College was okay, but I was several years older than my classmates, having spent three years in the army after high school
