1984 by George Orwell First read it when I was 8. Didn't get it. Read it again at 12 and I have read it at least once a year since.

I didn't get it then either, but I did have a better understanding. I read that book at least once a year and I understand different aspects of it differently. My favorite film 2001: A Space Odyssey, I've seen literally 50-60 time, and I still don't get it. I think I'm getting closer though. Another one of my favourite films, The Matrix, I realize I had it wrong for many years. That's one of the many beautiful things about life, my life at least. My thoughts, ideas and beliefs constantly evolve. Most of what I believe now, I didn't believe 5 years ago. I'm amazed, shocked and saddened when I see people get intellectually stuck. One of the people I admire the most said: Be prepared to re-examine your reasoning. And I do so very frequently.
