Drawing cartoons, painting, colouring, playing guitar (well that was when I was 11ish) and piano.

I loved the piano because I was able to spend special time with my Grandmother (she taught me and she is very dear to me). My mother tried to get me into ballet - but I was kicked out as I could not stand on the tips of my toes.

Playing the piano. I could pound away when I was mad, loved to play Beethoven when I was ticked off. I loved to play hymns when I was feeling good. Ragtime and marches were played when it was time to have fun.

I also loved to color with crayons - we had a lot of coloring books back in the 50s and 60s, even adult type books. It was very relaxing to get out my box of 24 Crayola and open that coloring book.

Making mud pies, creating snow tunnels with friends, building club houses, forts, snowmen, putting rubber boots on and 'go exploring', we had a place way back in the woods following a small creek that was so beautiful we called it a 'palace.' Ahh, those were the days.
