it gave me the same sick feeling I had when I watched the Towers collapse on 9/11.
You are entirely correct that what Japan has gone through was far far far worse. Mother Nature is capable of throwing unbelievable tantrums. But 9/11 was the product of human malevolence and that is even more frightening. It exploited a weakness of something we very very much count on, namely safe and cheap air travel. I don't travel a lot for my career but many of my colleagues do.
Our test now is ever the test of compassionate and enlightful love to all who are affected, to mother nature who has suffered our brutality upon her body and for the healing for all our relations...the test will be severe - but we hold onto the light and send the love we have ... this is our soul work now...peace to the four winds, healing to the four tides, levity to the four sacred directions and all our relations!
to pray for all the lost souls ....and to help those left behind too ....i breaks my heart
Sickness, sorrow, empathy, compassion. Heart sick! And worried about friends.
The whole world over is experiencing such horrific bouts of nature.... we, who have been spared so far offer our help and prayers for all those suffering.
Holy Crap is my initial reaction.
Shock and sadness
I felt it was very tragic and horrifying. Yes , these things happen but so many people die from it and it's hard to just accept it
what is going on in the world
wonder if 2012 is real?
time will tell :/
The only thing I have is the internet to get news and I found out from a question here on EP. My prayers go out to them.
Japan is in my thoughts.
The Good is that which leads to health, The Right is that which leads to
peace. Purpose is ours to choose, Meaning is the story we choose to join.
We are all members of Darwin's family, all kin from the beginning of life.
If you value anything, value other humans, for they are the only help you
will have in times of trouble. The Godless Universe is vast and wondrous,
and more than enough. We have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful
of the night
It was horrible, and surreal and I felt slightly nauseous. I logged into BBC and just gaped at the headline for a minute. Crazy.
You're just breaking the news to me. :((. Incredulous and sad.
Disbelief ... we know so many who live there and my husband has been to many of the places worst affected on business. Scary how fast things can go from "fine and dandy" to looking like a war zone!
Wow... I took a look at the footage on CNN... Holy Crap! Entire buildings swept along by the wave and burning as they are shoved across the farmland. Unbelievable and frightening.
This was just on the news,.March /15/ 2011
A man was picked up ten miles out in the ocean.
He was on top of his house.
That's a big wave.
An advisory was given to the country to please wash your vegatables.March / 21/ 2011
Milk is at 25 times higher in iodine than normal and is not going to market.
So what do they wash our vegies with radiation contaminated water.
There is nothing we can do to stop this things from happening! We cannot fight nature... But we should not give up our hope and fight for the believe that our world, someday, WILL BE A BETTER PLACE...
shocked, sad, morbidly fascinated, and now they have a radiation leak/.
shocking and unbelievable
sad really sad
