I find that shooting the messenger relieves the stress

Realize things only get worse when I let my frustration out.
So I just bottle it all up.
Expanding on my answer, I like to, in my head, imagine a version of me that lets his anger out and revel in that for a while.
the last time I tried to control it i broke down 2 school doors a chair and a sword from the school military training
Breathe deep...walk away...and cuss a lot. or work out and cuss a lot..either way.
Close my eyes & take deep breathes
Tell the person who has angered me to shut up
Start loading my revolver & playing with the trigger to make the annoying person go away
Jogging really grounds me.
But if I can't have access to outdoors, maybe just screaming into a pillow, or even running up and down flights of staris.
Try some repetitive excercizes, like sit ups or jumping jacks.
The physical exertion helps to drain the energy of rage :)!
Pretty much most of what everyone else has answered. My favorite though is to kill the person who angered me with kindness and then get revenge diplomatically.

redirect it to something productive....running, chopping wood, house cleaning, ....
