That's what we do... we make fools of each other and ourselves. It's part of the code.

I'd feel upset. If they had meant it, I would probably not want to be their friend unless they gave me a sincere apology. If it was an accident, I would still like it if they apologized, but it would be easier for me to forgive them. It also depends on what the did. And rockingemgal is right, friends shouldn't make a fool of each other. They should be there for each other, but no one's perfect. We all make mistakes.

Shock is what I would feel. My best friend would never do that.

I would be seriously be ripping my best friend a new one and demanding some sort of amends, restitution, etc.. That's the best way to gauge if you really have a reciprocal relationship. If your best friend does you wrong, he or she should be very sincere and enthusiastic about making it up, apologizing, etc.. If he or she is not, my guess is that you think that person is a "best friend" but that person doesn't really feel the same way about you.

Depends on the situation and the severity. If I was essentially asking for it, while I might be a bit pissed to begin with, I'd get over it. If it was just done in a somewhat humourous context, I'd probably be laughing too. If it was done with deliberate malice, I imagine that'd be the end of the friendship. I don't forget things of that sort easily.

You mean via prank? I'd prank him back. If he just pointed out something foolish I did or said, I'd laugh about it and take another hit.
