It is interesting how many people who proclaim not to believe in God at all answer all these questions about God, maybe you lost something and do not realize it yet, but feel it.
God found me and gave me eternal life with him, so if I lost that Him I would lose all the benifets that go along with Him. If God lost me or anyone I think he weaps for them, including those on these boards who do not believe and ridicule those who do. But as someone who has but my trust in what Christ did for me on the cross I know I will never be lost from God.

I am you and you are me; we are the sun and the moon and the stars, all the planets, every speck of matter in the universe, we are galaxies and nebulae & comets and asteroids. When you realise that, God is no longer necessary, as we are ALL God in our own way.

Since no one else seems to be in a position to give an honest answer, I will. If I lose God I lose eternity. I lose hope. Life becomes a waiting game, a live for today because death is always only a moment away. If I lose God I lose my opportunity for His grace and mercy, and receive as my reward His wrath and judgment.

If God loses me He will not have lost all that much for He can create another being with whom to share eternity, one who is capable of acknowledging his own sinfulness, and realizing his need of forgiveness and salvation just as I was able to, but chose to look the other way instead. To believe or not to believe, that is the question.

The question should honestly be dear seeker: What will you lose if you lose yourself?

What is this god you speak of? I'm not familiar with it. My young son, came home from school one day, and proudly announced, god made me! No he didn't, son. Me and mummy made you, with love.

God doesn't exist, so all you can lose is hope. And if god is omnipotent and everywhere (like the common Christian belief of God says) then he CAN'T lose you, since there's no place you could go that would ever be where he isn't.

i lost my illusion. my illusion loses nothing.

we ARE. that should be enough to humble us and allow us to live with no doubt there is something far greater than our ability to comprehend...and live in harmony recognizing our insignificance to all but our world and each other.

perhaps there is only ONE "god", perhaps not, but that thing preached in the bible isn't any god i could embrace. at least the story got on the right track with jesus.--|------

If God is ever-present how can you lose him? If God sees all, how can he lose you?

I suspect that if you are a believer you have your answer ready like Exedore... If you lose God you lose everything, blah, blah, blah.... so this question is not really aimed at believers but an attempt to make non believers 'realize' how much they are missing on. Like suddenly there would be an epiphany of some sort triggered by a question or phrase. Believers wanting to 'spread' the word of God fail to realize that most of the non-believers got to this point by auto questioning and a long journey of thinking and struggling. We are born into a religious society, we are taught since young age that there is a God and history must not be questioned no matter how absurd and incoherent it sounds. It's hard to give up the comfort of a cozy belief that everything will be alright because 'there is a God out there for you' but, some of us just can't get over science, history, the lack of logic of an evil world while a supposedly loving God is watching us.
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able, and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither willing, nor able? Then why call him God?”

If I lose God, I will lose the little will to live that I have right now. I will lose hope because I have been praying to him every night to take my pain away and give me the strength to make it through each day. I will lose my faith.

I don't think God will lose anything losing me. But I'll lose everything, including my sanity.

(Romans 1:20-23)

20 For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable; 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened.

22 Although asserting they were wise, they became foolish 23 and turned the glory of the incorruptible God into something like the image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed creatures and creeping things.

James 4:8-9) 8 Draw close to God, and he will draw close to YOU. Cleanse YOUR hands, YOU sinners, and purify YOUR hearts, YOU indecisive ones.

I will lose my identity if I lose God because I am God's beloved child and he is my daddy...I can't describe the things I'd lose...I will have no peace, no happiness no hope, no righteousness, no forgiveness and no love.

If God loses me, he will lose a precious child and he will definitely not just let me go..He loves me so he will give up anything and everything just to get me back.. (he is willing and able to do anything..so ultimately there is no problem at all)

Thank God...there is nothing that can separate me from God..I can never do anything stupid..even the stupidest thing I do...can never separate me from God..because the relationship is not based on my devotion to God..its based on his faithfulness to me :) and since he holds me..it does not really matter If I am holding on to him..I am so happy that such a thing as God losing me or me losing him will never happen.

If I lose God, I will have lost my best friend, father, my meaning, my purpose, my strength, and my reason to go on. If God loses me, it will break His heart.

Hi Eemcee
To loose God you must have had belief in God before losing it. When you have lost God you must have lost your faith. God only exists, like fairies, because people believe in God. If he loses someone's belief God is smaller!
