my forgotten story-all lower caps
"Devil and the Deep Blue Sea," is the working title that comes to mind. This volume of episodes depicting a life under sail, literally and figuratively, reflects keeping afloat - knowing that when on an even keel, my boat stays safe and sweet because that part of my hull called the waterline, or devil, is intact and watertight.
When heeled, my "dryness" quotient depends on the structure of many staves and planks that make up the structure of my hull.
Moral here is : You're safe on an even keel, but you never get anywhere. We need to take risks!
