We were born to worship, and if religion ceased to exist we would still be worshiping something

Speak for yourself, I worship no one and even put those I care about before myself, which means I don't worship myself either.

“With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.”

Terrorism would decline dramatically; intolerance and bigotry would have to find other outlets; vast amounts of money would be available for good causes rather than church/mosque/temple construction and take; education would improve as it focussed on realities of things like history.

Something else would fill the void. I think you'd have new religions in no time.

I don't believe in organized religion, so for me, it would be like every other day.

    Not much.

The nutcases in the middle east would continue to blow up innocent people, justifying it with different reasons.

There seems to be this nauseating attitude that religion breeds violence in a broad sense. One needs only to look at historical context in most scenarios to see that is quite untrue.

I find it quite curious, ironic even, as the proponents of such a view would be the first to attack someone as lacking critical thinking skills and/or common sense due to their belief in a God.
