    It would be about the same. We are exquisitely communicative creatures; speech/sign language is just one of the ways we connect, and illiteracy doesn't mean we can't learn things. It's just that all of us don't choose to communicate or act in a way that validates the other person on a regular basis.

    Nice way to put it. Then the only differance would be that the ones who need constant attention might get angry, or will jump around in peoples vision more often. :)
