What would u do? , if a member of your family is raped and murder in front of you ?

I am not sure, depends on whether I am able to act or not. but I like what one couple did, when faced with their daughters rapist and murderer. When the judge found him quilty he was about to pass sentance, but the parents asked for an audiance with the judge they had their own sentance to pass on, the judge agreed. The punishment besides for time served included, counsleing and he needed to send the parents a check every day for one dollor made out in their daughters name. He thought he was getting off easy. He went to counseling was put on strict payroll and sent the checks as requested. Before the first year was up he came back to the judge to please let him stop writing the checks and he would serve his time in prison instead. The judge asked him why. He stated the thought of writing anouther check to the person whom he violated and killed was getting to be to much, he could not forget the incident or the look of her as he commited the crime. I am truely sorry but I can not take this day after day. The judge said that is how the parents feel everyday, now you share their loss and pain. The descion of this court stands. From my understanding he still sends one check a day to the girl who he took violently out of this world. This story took place in the 90's.

well i guess it would depend on whether or not i thought that justice would fall in my relatives favor and the perpetrator of this crime tried and found guilty. If i thought they were going to get off with it i would hire a hit man and get him taken off the planet. No qualms about it and i would be prepared to serve a sentence myself for instigating the subsequent crime. I wouldn't advise anyone to do that though not after coming on here and asking this question as it could be proven to be premeditated murder. Possibly it would stand as diminished responsibility otherwise.

This is mostly unbearable.
Among killing, beating, accusing, ignoring, forgiving...the last is the best.
It is ideal for the individual to forgive, and the society to maintain justice. And this is the appropriate Age for the Law to govern.

I would do my best to give that person a beautiful funeral and to honour their memory every day.
