What would you do if you found out your friend had cancer?

i wanna be there for him, to give him hope, to support him but we live provinces apart and have only talked to eachother on the phone for the last 4 years :( i dont know what to do..but i desperatly wanna help... :'(

LISTEN to them at any hour they need to talk...cry with them.. get angry with them...if at all possible try to go to where he is a weekend here and there.. do the crazy and not so crazy things they want to do with them if you can get away or just be a sounding board to listen to those things...just be there.. it's worth more than it's weight in gold! I'm sure you'll do just fine and make a big difference for your friend.

if it's a close friend I would be there for him/her... literally in the room with them... but if not .. send a sympathy card ... and flowers to the funeral

We knew the guy had always dreamed of building a cabin on the river. We built it for him on dryland and he died before we could move it to its final spot. We finished the project and named it after him.
