I have been in that guys position and had a 'user' use me and spit me out when I had no more use for them.

I wouldn't have treated them poorly in the first place and I'd be very happy for them that they were getting a large inheritance

Ever heard of the word.... love.... for sure all the money in the world will not bring happiness, and trying to live with someone who you don't love will just bring intense sadness.

Look for the love or just let it arrive for richer or poorer.
