What would you like If you were given a test that would tell youwould have huntington's or not would yoto ask?

If you were given a test that would tell youwould have huntington's or not would you take the test?
For those whose's family is affected by this aweful disease there is a test advailable that can tell you in early adulthood if you will have Huntington's Chlorea or not. Personally if there were NOchance on God's green earth i could ever have kids i would not want to know,.. ive seen it in person its aweful,. BUT if i COULD have kids i would want to know that way i wouldnt pass it on to them. how do yall feel about this? [

Knowledge is power. I would want to know and plan my life accordingly. This diease robs a person of themselves and places an impossible burden on the family. The time you would have would be precious and your decisions should make the best use of that time.

my family is affected by this. My 2 cousins both have it and they have both had children who cant be tested until they're 18. They are in their mid teens now and one of my cousins has been in a hospice for years as she was unfortunate enough to get the symptoms earlier on in her life. Personally, I can't say whether i would or wouldnt have children if i had it (thankfully, its not on my direct blood line family). I think only the individual affected can reallymake that decision.
