Substance, because that is what defines a person.
Empathy - the ability to feel the pain or anguish that another person is feeling is crucial. To me, it is a quality that is both noble and humble. Plus, if we all had more of it, I am certain the world would be a much more pleasant place for all of us.
all qualities are important. because that is what makes you, you!
I couldn't actually tell you what quality is most important, or why it is so. All i know is, that without one's qualities, you can't live. Your sense of humor, your tastes e.g. music etc, if your trustworthy, kind, anything! it all adds up to being you. and being yourself. is probably the best quality ever. And i say that because everybody is unique in that respect. but also very much the same.
Altruism the unselfish regard for or devotion to the welfare of others
I think the most important thing is, compassion, sesitivity, understanding, patience, and be able to HEAR what people are saying, and respond to them.
Honesty is also very important, and not to say things just to placate or pacify a person. Be honest, and tell the truth, there will be much more respect that way, even if you don't like what you hear.
it's different for everyone. i think that certain moral qualities are important. people who lie and steal are really unbearable.
Someone who is good hearted and striving to make everyone they meet feel better about themselves. There is too much negativity and low esteem and people need to hear a kind word about them. There is always something good in everyone.
Being a good listener. There's no point in conversating with someone who doesn't bother to listen to what's important to you. Even if they don't share the same views as you it's important to respect other people's thoughts and feelings.
