Not in my little world - kids played baseball or flew kites or played on the merry-go-round. It was a seriously nice place to meet friends.

Good question. Was on AOL stuff over twenty years ago. Something was famous, just forgot and too lazy to look it up.
I got my start in *shudder* AOL chat rooms but before that (and overlapping) Usenet was kind of a big deal...
I was on ICQ in the early days
Before MySpace, there was Friendster, and before that you had to put your naked selfies on GeoCities or AngelFire.
