I always called mine nan
in hindi dahdi means grandmother
Nan, Nana, Gram, Mema, Nonna (Italian for "grandmother")
I'm fond of Nana and Grannie... that's what my kids call my mom and my maternal grandmother.
My sister uses Mama Christy. My grandkids call me Mom
I like what my sister uses... "Neena" or, "Nina".
I think Nonni is Italian for grandma??? Or maybe it's Nonna....anyway...my kids call my MIL Nanny
I once knew a sweet old gal that everyone called "Nanny" or just "Nan". But whatever... a Grammaw by any name is loved just as much. Truth be told, your name should be "Spoiler"! ;-)
In Greek, it's Yia Yia. My son could only say Meemaw, which stuck - so he had his Yia Yia as his paternal grandmother, and Meemaw as his maternal grandma.
