I could really go for some cornmeal pudding (the solid kind of pudding, not the jelly-like one), some rum cake, some banana fritters, some lasagna, or even some ox-tail or cow foot right about now. Hell, maybe even some stewed beans and rice (even though I get that often enough)...

Well being from Pakistan, my mum made some mean beutiful cuisines and snacks. I remember a childhood favourite was a Buttered Paratha, which is basically a buttered home made chappati, but a bit thicker and made on hot pan. Then its smothered with butter and you eat it with home made mint chutney and maybe some yoghurt dip. Absolute joy.
