I did the finger food type thingy. But don't have cheese in the southern USA in the spring. It melts. Congrats and sorry you won't be getting a gift from me. Just a *hug* and good thoughts.

The coolest food I have ever seen served at a wedding was a mashed potato bar. They served mashed potatoes in martini glasses and had a whole array of toppings...yummy!

At my wedding we did desserts! We got 2 chocolate fountains, one white chocolate and one brown chocolate. Then we had things like pretsels, cheese cake cut into squares, marshmellows, cookies, strawberries, bananas..etc. We also had a punch fountain! Everyone LOVED it! Its easy to do as well.

I would go Mexican.

1. Ease of preparations
2. Most can find something they will eat or just do chips and salsa
3. Relatively cheap

well , its so easy to offend these days isnt it ? , i mean like you dont want sausage rolls if there are a lots of Jews attending or pork pie if they are muslim. You may well stay safe and have a vegetable curry and tarka dall. You wont offend anyone but they could end up farting all night .

Try to find out what kinds of food are least likely to cause allergies and upset stomachs, and don't get spoiled easily since many of the dishes will be prepared hours in advance and will be displayed before the reception. It's always better to err on the side of safety.

Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! :)

Hot dogs and pickle chips!

Mmm... My favorite!

you gotta get the jew dogs, though! The hebrew national or w/e... ftw! I'm not a jew, but those hot dogs rock!
