I seem to be the type of person that doesn't receive presents. I did however buy myself a camera last year and that was a pretty good present.

Life, which allowed me to experience the world, and death (literal and figurative), which allowed me to appreciate life even more.

Tangibly speaking, my son and the means to my education.

When I was born my grandfather bought my mother his daughter a little gold chain nothng at all fancy very inexpensive with a tiny pearl charm on it. He said the pearl was me tiny and perfect . My mother wore it always when my grandfather died a year ago I was inconsolable, though tried to hide it from mom it was noticable I loved him like a second father and when he died a part of me died with him . One day weeks later my mother came over unlatched the necklace from her neck and it put it on me . Without a word she hugged me and we both cried together.

Since then I have been given bigger stones more expensive items and though I appreciate every thing I have been ever given. That small inexpensive necklace is the most precious thing I have ever been given
