It was Paris. I was in a small cafe with Gertrude Stein and Ernest Hemingway. Gertrude Stein punched Ernest Hemingway in the mouth. It was a good punch, lots of blood from his split lip. I lit a Gauloise sans filtre. Then I spotted it, the most exquisitely curved, fresh croissant imaginable. I slipped it into the pocket of my tattered jacket, (sha-doobie), and stole into the murky Parisian fog of night with the determination of Paul Verlaine chasing Rimbauds.

To answer the question, I recall catching on fire once, I remember having to stop drop and ROLL then. I had every one's attention, PLUS I didn't die. It was the best day of my life!

From the Corner Cafe, which is just around the corner. They have HUGE dinner rolls. They bring them to you fresh from the oven. They are very good.
