    Cookies, a cake (from scratch), flat bread or Sweet Potato fries work for me.

    Bread .... for me cold weather is about baking bread. It's a long lazy day kind of activity, that allows you to veg or bake other things in the mean time. And when its done ... nothing tastes better then a slice of warm homemade bread with melting butter and a little wildflower honey.

    I have a foccacia recipe that I am using for my pizzas, it can be used for flatbread or breadsticks too. There are lots of ways to fancy up flatbread...fresh rosemary, parmesan cheese, garlic, etc.

    I love making foccacia - with rosemary and fresh roasted garden tomatoes and cracked black pepper. And my favourite flatbread had tandoori chicken, roasted peppers and a little cilantro and yogurt on top.
