What's the best thing you have ever done for a friend?

THE NICEST THING? I flew halfway around the world to Australia...to attend the wedding to another man of a gal I'd dated previously while I was still deeply in love with her...and I did it just because she asked me to please be there for her because no one else (family or friend) could afford to be at the ceremony. So I bit my tongue and attended the event. I thought that was pretty nice of me.

Stopped seeing them.

I was a bad influence at the time.

I convinced her to take her medication and stay out of the mental hospital.

Flew to TX with her for a second opinion about her terminal cancer. It was the last time alone I spent with her. No one can take away those memories of the deep conversations we had. I have no regrets about going with her, even though I had to leave my 2 small children.

Saved his life not once but twice. First time he was so drunk he fell into a lake and I jumped in, pulled him out, and performed mouth-to-mouth to get him breathing again. Second time, he struck his head and knocked himself out... didn't think it was too big a deal but I convinced him to go to a hospital and it turned out his brain was bleeding into his skull they drilled in and drained it and he was out of the hospital in just 3 days. Doc told me if I had let him go home and go to sleep he would never have woken up.
