You are Southern? Try any bar in Clarksville, Dothan, Louisville, Columbus, Pensacola, Beaufort, etc.
You can do a lot better than that. The higher quality NCOs, warrant officers, and officers will tend to do activities off post in their personal time. If you have an interest in a particular thing, or even a little bit of one, find the weekend activities that revolve around that interest. Young soldiers, marines, etc are not so much into these things, but once a guy is twenty-five or so and if he has a brain in his head, he will look for fulfilling uses of his time and will welcome an intelligent woman's company.
If you have any interest in history, the South is THE best area for Civil War Roundtable groups. Bright service guys who are also ambitious and curious go to those meetings. I know this for certain. Good luck with your search regardless of what route you take -- don't go the bar route.
Afghanistan or any town in America with a military ba<x>se. Or try the VA hospital if your specialty is PTSD or amputees.
Kinda harsh -.-
Yes, unjust war is always harsh.
